@zwirlo yeah but AIDs is still a disease. and like the video said, it LEADS to 2 million deaths per year. This doesnt mean it directly kills them (which it doesnt) but is responsible for it (which it is).

@Evildragonfirez The counter to that argument is that HIV/AIDS can be managed with treatment and/or medication, if not outright avoided for the most part by using common sense and safe sex practices. The only treatment program for Ebola consists of prayer and hoping against hope that you aren’t included in the 90% mortality rate.

Malaria is number 1 most certainly. AIDS would take more than a few years and in the west with drugs isnt even fatal to the same extent as a common household accident.
How is ebola not #1? It is relatively contained, geologically, but its effects are absolutely horrifying and the disease itself is almost always fatal. >.<
This list seems based on natural threats (HIV/AIDS is debatable depending on who you ask) but there are also several lab-created diseases and disease strains that would give some of the others listed some fair competition if not knock a few off the list entirely.
