The debate over H1N1 flu is centering on La Gloria, a town that is 200 kilometres east of Mexico City. La Gloria is home to the little boy who many believe was the first person to contract the H1N1 virus.Down the street is a pig farm that is owned by the world’s largest producer of pork. The company, Smithfield Foods, has said its farms are clean and virus free. But locals are demaning an independent investigation. Al Jazeera’s Mike Hirsch reports in La Gloria, Mexico.
