Another influenza season is beginning, and the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will strongly urge Americans to get a flu shot. In fact, the CDC mounts a well-orchestrated campaign each season to generate interest and demand for flu shots. But a recent study published in the October issue of the Archives of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine found that vaccinating young children against the flu appeared to have no impact on flu-related hospitalizations or doctor visits during two recent flu seasons. At first glance, the data did suggest that children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years derived some protection from vaccination in these years. But after adjusting for potentially relevant variables, the researchers concluded that “significant influenza vaccine effectiveness could not be demonstrated for any season, age, or setting” examined. Additionally, a Group Health study found that flu shots do not protect elderly people against developing pneumonia — the primary cause of death resulting as a complication of the flu. Others have questioned whether there is any mortality benefit with influenza vaccination. Vaccination coverage among the elderly increased from 15 percent in 1980 to 65 percent now, but there has been no decrease in deaths from influenza or pneumonia. There is some evidence that flu shots cause Alzheimers disease, most likely as a result of combining mercury with aluminum and formaldehyde. Mercury in vaccines has also been implicated as …
Vitamin D not flu shots

@pedsemrassistant and still since 1918 it has never happened. Who knows if peoples diets where completely natural would the flu shot be necassary at all. Make you wonder why we were encouraged to come away from such a diet towards such toxins.
@mull79204 Their average life expectancy was something like 28 years old, so I would not recommend their nutritional and medical methods. Plus, they worshipped dung beatles.
@mull79204 Of course it was different. that is what the flu does. There is antigenic shift and antigenic drift that changes the flu virus all the time. That is why a new flu shot needs to be developed each year to keep up with these changes. All we need is a major change to the genome and you get a “spanish flu.” This changing is what make the flu such a problem. Each year there is the potential of another devestating version to immerge.
@pedsemrassistant i wonder 2000 years ago in eygpt when they used natural medicines to cure ill health if somebody popped up and said wheres the study to show this is safe otherwise i aint taking it – lol
@CodexAlimentarius1 yes i agree, it is very good at what it does. there is a clay i forget the name that works very well also.
@pedsemrassistant i think you’ll find the 1918 flu is not the same “standard” flu we have today. the spanish flu strains held in storage have a different make up to the many strains of today. i think you’ll find hygine,living and building conditions as well as many other difference over the 90 year span contributated to the high mortality rate of the 1918 flu. its not only medicine that has progressed and cannot be the only factoer for a sound argument.
@mull79204 The spanish flu is the same “flu” or influenza that we are talking about. It was a particulary virulent strain that effected about 1/3 of the world population and killed 50-100 million people. They just gave it a name because it was such bad illness. Bet they would of stood in line for a flu shot if they had the chance.
@pedsemrassistant i assume nothing and question everything. yes i know and water and salt can kill you in large enough quanties. what is never mentioned however is that consuming certain minerals & vitamins give the body higher tolerances to high amounts of other vitamins. Again where are all the people dieing from over straining there systems from over consumption that warrents the assumption that people cannot decide for themselfs.
@pedsemrassistant and what has the spanish flu to do with the flu?
@pedsemrassistant i was taking about swine flu. however i do not believe flu shots make any difference to a immune system that is functioning to its potential – this sadly is hardly ever the case though.
@mull79204
Show me double blind placebo controlled data supporting your claim not some lady in Idaho speculating some connection on her blog. I will recognize the first, but not the latter. And don’t assume I am against vitamin D. Most Americans probably do not get enough vitamin D. Also, don’t assume that because it is a “vitamin” and “natural” that it can do no harm. Read about hypervitaminosis D for the toxicity associated with too much.
@mull79204
That is a red herring. We are not talking about climate change.
As far as what you are talking about, I have no idea. Are you proposing that the flu that makes people sick every year is man made? Read about the spanish flu of 1918 which was estimated to kill 50 to 100 million humans. This was before vaccines, so you can not default to the “conspiracy argument.”
@mull79204
How can you say there is no research to support the efficacy of flu shots? One thing I have learned is those who are against the use immunization to prevent disease are always very strongly rooted in their beliefs. Everything is always a conspiracy. There is no argument I can make against the conspiracy, because any data was created by those involved in the conspiracy. Believe what you want.
@sajfen yes I know what you mean. My vit D is 10iu each tablet and the EU want to half that again. No evidence is just that so it cannot be pro or con. My dr recommeded high dosages of vit d (1000) and that they would have no ill effect as long as taken with plenty of water and some food. Damn but my doctor had no scientific research nor medical research so that means he knows nothing and has no experience to draw from.
@mull79204 when the head scientist is asked to resign because his findings and integraty to state those findings into harmfull effects of cannabis are dissmissed because they are not what is wanted to sway public opinion. Then several scientists under him resign in protest I lose all faith in the scientific researchers whos findings are obviously manipulated.
@pedsemrassistant at the end of the day when the chief scientist in charge of proving climate change is man made “loses all his research papers from the past 20 yrs” then states the medieval warm period could have been warmer than now.
Then the WHO are exposed and investigated along with the UN over man made flu. There quotes of deaths exagerated @60000+ come in @ around 60 far far less than standard flu (the 1 not made by man).
@pedsemrassistant there are many studies. Only these studies are not by the establishments you recognise. Please share your madical research that shows the number of people vit D has harmed. Next you’ll be stating there is no evidence of the man made flu vaccine causing harm to its users.
@pedsemrassistant medical research does not support any claims being false only that they are unsupported by the current medical establishment. How do you know the childs life could have been saved by a vaccine when medical research shows no such evidence. You dissmiss claims on the same basis that dissmiss’s your own claims.
There is no research that supports these claims. None. Google “autism and thimerosol (the mercury everyone is scared of), click on the scientific studies link and you will see over 14 pages of research related to mercury and autism. Not one study supports these claims. Very simple. Sorry.
@mike79204
I am not the one putting children at risk by making false claims that medical research dose not support.
@mike79204 You dont have to die to get ripped off. And this whole inverse logic of no evidence against…No evidence for it IS evidence against! With that logic you might aswell be religious.
people drink coca cola daily and plenty of other crap that should be of more concern than something created in the body that we have no control over – perhaps my body can tollerate 100,000iu per day as we’re all biochemically different. We are all big boys and girls.
@auburn722 hes obviously a dr and I have no idea what a quack is or why that lable matters. Don’t the australians call there dr’s quacks? My dr’s much better he tells me so much about nutrition like I should eat a varied diet, wow that really helps.
@sajfen thers no evidence that it does’nt and no records of deaths from taking such.
@JasonBunting And what is the definition of the word quack?
